Pretty Little Liars: The Top 10 unbelievable moments from the winter season premiere [video]
Pretty Little Liars came back last night with one of the strongest episodes of the series. Pretty Little Liars fans have anxiously waited for the series to return and last night the show did not disappoint during the midseason premiere.

Here are the top 10 unbelievable moments from the winter season premiere of Pretty Little Liars:
1. Emily and Spencer’s fight: Last season Emily, Spencer, Hanna and Aria were as thick as theives. In fact, when their parents tried to separate them, they rebelled.
This season Emily and Spencer started the show off with a bang. The two actually came to blows when Emily suggested Spencer’s mother would throw her and the rest of the girls under the bus if need be.
Emily and Spencer’s fight in the first five minute set the tone for what became an explosive episode.

2. Garret and Jenna’s coming out party: Last season Jenna and Garrett’s love affair was kept under wraps. The girls confided in Garrett, a member of the Rosewood PD. During the midseason premiere Spencer revealed the two came out of the closet with their relationship after the Pretty Little Liars were arrested.
Garret claimed of his relationship with Jenna “it was never a secret it was private, when the time was right we’ll let people know.” As Spencer eloquently put it “timing is everything.” It seems like the time was right after Spencer, Hanna, Emily and Aria were framed for Alison’s murder.
3. Emily takes A’s deal: During the episode A tells Emily she was always her favorite and offers her a deal. Much to the surprise of Pretty Little Liars fans, Emily decided to take A’s deal and turn against her friends.
Many fans started to wonder what had come over Emily. Would she sell out her friends just to save herself?
4. The Pretty Little Liars plot to takedown A: Just when we thought Emily was turning against her best friends, we discover it was all a hoax, a plan designed by the Pretty Little Liars to try to trick A. The girls planned to use Emily as bait to lure A in.
Emily has no problem being bait, as she says, “I’m the weakest link and the weakest link wants some payback.”
5. Toby’s not walking away: Toby and Spencer’s love endures, even though Spencer is determined to stay away from Toby to make sure he stays out of A’s blast zone. But as Toby put it “I’m not walking away.” All night Toby chased after Spencer, trying to get her to give in and trust more. All night Spencer resisted. Will Toby give up on Spencer? Only time will tell.
6. Lucas and Hanna and Caleb’s love triangle: Poor Lucas… He just can’t catch a break.
Lucas and Hanna became close when Caleb left for California. Now Caleb’s back and Lucas is the third wheel. Lucas seems to be regretting his choice to bring Caleb back to Rosewood to reunite him with Hanna.
Will Lucas ever find love? Will Hanna and Caleb’s love endure? We will be interested to see how this plays out this season.

7. Aria and Ezra tell her parents about their relationship
Pretty Little Liars could have gone over the top with the moment when Ezra and Aria revealed the truth about their relationship to Aria’s parents but the series kept it simple, which made the scene authentic.
A nervous Ezra simply told Aria’s parents, “I’m in love with your daughter. I love Aria.”
Aria’s parent’s reaction… not as welcoming and inviting as Aria and Ezra expected. In fact, they sent Aria to her room and Ezra packing, after he got a punch to the face by Mike, Aria’s little brother.

Aria and Ezra seemed to be surprised by her parents disapproval but as Jackie, Ezra’s ex, put it “what did you expect was going to happen? She is a teenager and you were her teacher.”
Is this it for Ezra and Aria? Will they call it quits? We doubt it. But there are going to be a lot of obstacles for the couple moving forward.
8. Hanna’s father (and stepsister return):
Apparently Hanna’s big reveal at her father’s wedding to the bride regarding his infidelity did not stop Hanna’s father’s wedding.
Last night Hanna’s father revealed he would be returning to Rosewood. Even worse, he will be brining Hanna’s evil stepsister, Kate, back with him.
Something tells us Hanna and Kate will not be the best of friends this season.
9. A almost kills Emily
All four girls plot a scheme to try to get A and because it’s Pretty Little Liars, the plan involves Aria, Spencer, Emily and Hanna going to a dangerous location at night without any parents or protection and hoping for the best.
In in true Pretty Little Liars fashion the girl’s plan fails, miserably. Emily is the bait, the rest of the girls, who are suppose to be there to protect Emily, are late and when Emily reveals the girls have nothing on A, A flips out and tries to kill Emily. Spencer, Aria and Hanna arrive just in time to stop A but of course, A manages to get away.
When will these girls learn? Don’t take on A, in the dark, alone, by yourselves.
10. The girls finally outsmart A
When A got away we, like Spencer, were frustrated. However, the girls finally got the leg up on A.
Hanna managed to hit A with her car [the irony of Hanna hitting A with her car when A ran over Hanna with a car last season was not lost on us] and during the crash A’s cellphone came loose. The girls have A’s phone and A, is pissed.
Does this mean we are any closer to finding out who A is? We hope so.
Pretty Little Liars started out with a bang and it seems like the show is just going to get better from here. We cannot wait for the remainder of the season.
