It was another off night for Modern Family last night. The episode did have some laugh out loud moments but overall the episode fell flat for us. Eric Stonestreet, who plays Cameron on Modern Family, once again stole the show and redeemed this week’s episode of Modern Family for us. Watching Cameron drive a truck while attempting to defy gay stereotypes was absolutely hilarious.
The best part about watching Cameron drive a truck was how relatable he was in that moment. We’ve all been there, with someone who is extremely confident of their abilities to do something. A person who despite desperately needing it stubbornly does not accept help. We’ve all had our lives put in danger by someone who without hestation asserts “I’ve got this” when they don’t in fact got it, not even a little bit.
After seeing Cameron drive a truck on last night’s Modern Family, we would be willing to let Cameron place our lives in jeopardy if that gave us an opportunity to be locked in a truck with him. The value we place on our lives and the value we place on having a good laugh is a disproportionately skewed, especially when Eric Stonestreet is involved.
