Tonight Million Dollar Listing returns to Bravo for it’s fourth season. Unfortunately, Chad Rogers, the Beverly Hills Realtor and one of the stars of Million Dollar Listing will not be returning for the new season. So we could not help but ask, what happened to Chad Rogers? Why did Chad Rogers leave Million Dollar Listing?
When we first saw the Bravo advertisements for season 4 of Million Dollar Listing we noticed that Chad, the lead of the series, was missing from the line up. For season four, Chad has been replaced with Josh Altman, another Beverly Hills Realtor.
We could not figure out why Chad left the series. He was such a critical part of the series. After searching through Google, Chad’s twitter page and blog, we finally found the answer.
Why Did Chad Rogers leave Million Dollar Listing
During an interview with Reality TV Magazine, Chad Rogers discussed the reasons behind his decision to leave Million Dollar Listing. At the end of the day, Chad says his business expanded and as a result he was unable to continued the series. Chad is quoted as saying:
“As my name became internationally recognized, I became very busy in my real estate business and was unable to continue with the show. I wish I could clone myself so I could do everything but there is only one Chad Rogers. It was an incredible experience, which I will never forget.”
Chad has also made it very clear, via his attorney, that the decision to leave Bravo was not a mutual one. At one point The Pittsburgh Post-Gazett quoted a Bravo executive, Frances Berwick, as saying the decision was “mutual” and claimed “We’d done three seasons with the three of them and it was really time to bring in new blood. We found somebody who’s absolutely great in a complete different way from Chad.” Chad’s lawyer, however, quickly dismissed the claims saying that “Chad’s decision to leave the Series was decidedly not mutual with Bravo – Chad elected, in his sole discretion (vis a vis Bravo), to leave the Series.”
At the end of the day, Chad’s statements to Reality TV Magazine and his lawyer’s statement in response to The Pittsburgh Post Gazette article provide us with little comfort. All we care about is the fact that Chad is not returning to Million Dollar Listing. We cannot imagine this series without him. Of course, we adore Josh and Madison, but Chad brought something special to the series. We loved watching the dynamic between these three Realtors. We are sure Josh Altman will bring the drama but are also sure that he will not be able to fill the void that Chad’s departure has created.
Tune in tonight to Bravo at forMillion Dollar Listing to see how the series manages after losing Chad Rogers.
