Basketball Wives: Jennifer and Eric Williams divorcing, Gloria calls Shaunie the c word, Evelyn and Suzie face off (again)
All we can say about last night’s episode of Basketball Wives is wow. The show managed to pack in a lot of drama in the 1 hour long episode and as the preview for next week’s episode indicates, it’s only going to get more and more dramatic as the weeks go on.
This week on Basketball Wives Eric Williams and his wife, Jennifer Williams, decided to call it quits on their marriage and get a divorce, Gloria called Shaunie the c-word during an argument and Suzie and Evelyn had a huge throw down in a restaurant. Read about Jennifer and Eric William’s divorce, Gloria and Shaunie’s face off and Suzie and Evelyn’s fight below.
Jennifer and Eric Williams’ Divorce
Throughout season one and season two Jennifer has been struggling with her marriage to former NBA player Eric Williams. Jennifer has spoken openly on the show about infidelity and other marital issues she was having with her husband. Throughout season one Jennifer Williams struggled with making a decision as to whether it was time for her and her husband to go separate ways or to try to work it out. At the end of season one Jennifer announced that she would be staying with her husband Eric. Towards the end of season one we saw Eric making a lot of effort to save his marriage with Jennifer and we thought the two may actually have a chance.
Jennifer’s happily ever after did not last though. Throughout season two Jennifer has said that she is unhappy in the marriage and was not sure if it was going to work. Last night Jennifer decided to throw in the towel and call it quits. When Eric came home from an extended trip away Jennifer announced that she was not happy in the marriage, told him she did not want her current situation to go on much longer and announced that it was time to get a divorce.
Eric was clearly ready to move on but it was clear that Jennifer was not. Jennifer struggled throughout her conversation with her husband to say that she wanted a divorce. In the end she never actually even said the words. Instead she decided to refer to getting a divorce as “moving on.” Jennifer still wanted to argue with Eric but Eric was done arguing and said he wanted the divorce to be finalized as soon as possible so he could move forward. Eric went so far as to demand that Jennifer get a divorce attorney immediately.
As much as we love watching drama on reality television, we do not enjoy watching people making the decision to end their marriage on television. Jennifer and Eric scene was heartbreaking and difficult to watch. We can only hope that the two find happiness after their divorce and remain cordial afterwards.

Gloria calls Shaunie the c-word
Last week Royce decided to invite Jennifer, Shaunie and Evelyn to Suzie and Gloria’s private lunch so that the girls would have an opportunity to get everything out in the open instead of talking behind each others backs. Suzie and Gloria had no idea that Royce had decided to invite the rest of the girls to their private lunch and neither girl was too pleased to see the others.
When Royce invited Shaunie, Jennifer and Evelyn to Suzie and Gloria’s lunch date, we thought that Suzie and Evelyn would be the ones going at it since they have been having issues since the beginning of season 2. We thought wrong.
Shaunie decided to take the first jab at lunch towards Gloria. Shaunie taunted Gloria over her canceled wedding. Shaunie told Gloria over and over again that her relationship was not as perfect as she made it seem in season one. The argument between the girls got heated and in the end Gloria told Shaunie she was bitter and called her the c-word as she stormed out of the restaurant.
What do you think about Gloria and Shaunie’s fight? Comment below.
Suzie and Evelyn fight:
Basketball Wives would not be complete without another fight. After Shaunie and Gloria faced off it was time for Suzie and Evelyn to go at it. Royce decided to invite all the girls to lunch to meet her new boyfriend. At first it did not seem like Suzie was going to show up but then she did and Evelyn went after her the minute she sat down. Suzie intitially tried to ignore Evelyn but when Evelyn refused to let her order food Suzie decided she had to confront her.
Suzie reiterated to Evelyn that she was sorry that she talked to other people about what happened when she, Evelyn and Jennifer went to Las Vegas and told her she missed her friendship and hoped that they could resolve everything. She also told Evelyn that she recognized that she was still upset and understood why she felt that way.
Evelyn did not even attempt to hide her disgust for Suzie. Evelyn told Suzie that they were not friends and would never be friends. She called her a b***h and told her she was over the entire thing and walked out.
We are not really sure why Evelyn is so upset with Suzie. Suzie has apologized to Evelyn multiple times and has said she was wrong but Evelyn refuses to let it go. We understand that Evelyn is upset but it seems a little excessive for her to attack Suzie every chance she gets and send her threatening emails when all Suzie ever did was mention what happened during a Las Vegas trip to one of their mutual friends. We think Evelyn needs to get over it and move on. We are not saying that Evelyn should accept Suzie’s apology but we do think she should let go of some of the anger and stop looking for opportunities to cuss Suzie out.
What do you think? Should Evelyn forgive Suzie? Is Evelyn taking this grudge too far or does Suzie deserve it? Comment below.
Basketball Wives had a lot of drama this week. We were surprised how much the girls managed to get into in such a short time span and how much they managed to fit into one episode. We cannot wait to see what this series has in store for us next week. The preview shows Tammi facing off with Jennifer and Suzie and that should be entertaining to say the least. We will definitely tune in next week to see what the Basketball Wives have in store. If there is one thing we know for sure about these girls it is that they know how to bring the drama.
