We guess Sarah Palin is not one of Oprah’s favorite things. During an interview with Parade Magazine Oprah, who in the past has refused to comment on the possibility of Sarah running in 2012, said that while Sarah Palin is making the country fall in love with her due to her reality series, she is not sure if that will get her behind the desk at the Oval Office.
Oprah and Sarah have done multiple shows together and seemed to be getting along pretty great. The two had great charisma and Oprah was excited about the possibility that Palin would get her own reality show.
That is why it seemed so strange that Oprah would publicly blast Palin, one of our new favorite reality stars. In Parade Magazine interview Oprah says of Palin’s reality show, Sarah Palin’s Alaska, “I would say that America’s going to fall in love with her [from her reality series, Sarah Palin's Alaska.]” She goes on to say, “When I saw that first episode, I went, ‘Whoa! She is charming and very likable.’”
When asked about Palin’s possible presidential run, Oprah appeared to change her tune. When asked if Palin’s running for office scares her, Winfrey responded, “It does not scare me because I believe in the intelligence of the American public.”

Now, we admit, that statement could just mean Oprah thinks American’s will vote in their best interest and it possible that the statement was taken out of context. However, it also seems possible that Oprah was indeed dissing Sarah and does not believe intelligent Americans will elect her.
We would get into the implications and draw conclusions but we just watch TV here. We are Team Oprah but after 6 great episodes of Sarah Palin’s Alaska we are Team Palin as well. We don’t care if Palin is running for office, unless that means we will get to see a reality tv show about life at the White House. We doubt that Oprah and Palin will lose any sleep or real fans over this controversy and therefore, neither will we.
