Last week Degrassi aired the last new episode before Degrassi’s fall season finale. The episode focused on Adam and Fiona’s budding relationship, featured Wes finally making a move on Anya and also featured the development of a love triangle that turned into a love square by the end of the episode between Holly J., Jenna, Sav and K.C. The episode set the stage and we are excited to see how all these relationships play out during next week’s season finale.

The Holly J, Jenna, Sav and K.C. love square
This week’s episode focused on Jenna. Jenna is pregnant and feels alone. She is upset that she once used to be a popular girl dating the “hottest guy in school” and now is a pregnant teen who cannot get a date. Jenna says she can handle the pregnancy but she cannot handle being alone.
This week Jenna set her sights on two men. Her ex-boyfriend and baby daddy, K.C. and Holly J.’s boyfriend Sav. Of course, when Holly J. learned that Jenna was pursuing Sav she was not too pleased and the episode ended with a face off between the girls.
Jenna and Sav connect
This week’s episode of Degrassi centered around a school dance. The dance was organized by Chantay and the Power Squad and was the first school dance since the infamous “Night in Las Vegas” dance that ended with a lockdown, and resulted in the implementation of a dress code and a strict code of conduct.
The dance was not as big of a blow out as the “Night in Las Vegas” dance. It was only an hour long, right after school, with chaperones and the students had to wear their uniforms. Principal Simpson did make one concession by agreeing to let students perform at the dance.
Jenna and K.C. reconnect
Jenna had a prenatal class this week and her brother could not attend. Jenna told Sav about not wanting to go alone and Sav encouraged Jenna to talk to K.C., Jenna’s ex-boyfriend and the baby’s father.
Jenna decided to take Sav’s advice. She begins to pursue K.C. after she receives one of the wishing stars that Chantay and the power squad are selling for the dance. The wishing stars are typically sent to a student by their crush and Jenna comes to the conclusion that K.C. sent it to her. When Jenna thanks K.C. for the wishing star he takes credit for sending the star. Jenna, believing that she still has a shot with K.C., invites him to her pre-natal class and he agrees to tag along.
Jenna and Sav’s Prenatal Adventure
Jenna soon realizes the truth that K.C. is not into her anymore once K.C. blows her off for her prenatal class. Sav, seeing that Jenna is upset, admits that he sent her the wishing star because he wanted to cheer her up. Jenna flips out about K.C. and tells Sav she does not want to have to go through this pregnancy alone. Sav decides to go with Jenna to the prenatal class so she will not be alone.
During the class Jenna talks to another mother whose baby daddy also left her. The mother to be tells Jenna that even though her new boyfriend is not the baby’s father he has stepped in and will be filling in for the absentee dad. Jenna starts to get the idea that Sav can fill in for K.C. and starts giving him the eye.
K.C. begins to miss Jenna
Back at Degrassi, K.C. starts to get jealous of the fact that someone else sent Jenna a wishing star. He tells Drew that he is not over Jenna and wants to still be with her. He says that the one thing that is holding him back is the fact that Jenna is pregnant and being with her would mean that we would have to be a father.
K.C. proved that he is the most selfish, inconsiderate characters on the show. K.C. acted as if Jenna was pregnant with another man’s baby and not his own child. He talked to Drew about not wanting to be burdened by fatherhood if he gets back with Jenna but failed to even discuss the fact that he should be there because he is the baby’s father. He is only concerned about himself and does not care about his baby or his baby momma.
Holly J. and Jenna discuss Sav and his feelings on teenage pregnancy
While K.C. is working out his feelings for Jenna, Jenna and Sav prepare for their big performance. Before the dance, Jenna asks Holly J. about Sav. Specifically she ask him how Sav reacted to his ex-girlfriend’s, Anya, pregnancy. Holly J. decides not to tell Jenna that she started false pregnancy rumors so that Sav would lose the student council election and tells Jenna instead that Sav was supportive of the pregnancy. Jenna takes this to mean that Sav will not be opposed to taking on the responsibility of co-parenting her child and decided to move forward with the plan to make Sav her baby daddy.
Jenna and Sav’s Performance
Jenna and Sav performed their duet together. What was great was that Jenna did not even attempt to cover up the fact that she is stealing a page out of Taylor Swift’s book during this performance. She and Sav sing a song entitled “Goodbye White Horse,” which for some reason is vaguely reminiscent of the Taylor Swift’s song, “White Horse.” While the song was a little pitchy and cheesy for our taste, Sav and Jenna seemed to be really into the performance and seem very enthusiastic about it.
Jenna and Sav Kiss
Sav, high off of the rush of his duet performance with Jenna, tells her that they make a great team and that they should continue to work together. Jenna, being delusional and hormonal, takes that to mean that Sav is into her and would be willing to take on raising her baby with her.
Jenna decides to move in for the kill and plants a big kiss on the lips on Sav. Sav is shocked but Jenna does not seem to notice. She is way to excited about the possibility of replacing her deadbeat baby daddy with a new, kind, caring and reliable one to care.
Holly J. and Jenna fight over Sav
The next day, while Jenna and Holly J. are cleaning up the space where the dance was held, Jenna discloses to Holly J. that she is really excited to have a new man in her life. Holly J. inquires about who it is and much to her surprise she learns that Jenna is after her boyfriend, Sav.
Holly J. politely tells Jenna that she must be mistaken about Sav’s feelings for her and reveals that she and Sav are dating. Jenna replies by telling Holly J. that she must be the one who is mistaken because Sav is into her.
Holly J. and Jenna go into full out cat fight mode. Holly J. tells Jenna she is delusional and that “all the prenatal vitamins” must be going to her head because Sav is not interested in her or her child. Jenna snaps back and tells Holly J. that getting rid of “insignificant temporary girlfriends” is kind of her thing, alluding back to the time where she stole her ex-boyfriend and baby daddy K.C. away from Claire. The girls end the episode almost nose to nose with a look of pure hatred in their eyes. Neither girl plans to back down, both want Sav and it is clear that they are willing to fight to the death for him (which is just weird since Sav is not that hot).
We will have to wait until next week to see what happens in this love square. The preview for next week’s episode of shows Holly J. confessing to Sav that she slept with Declan and Jenna going into labor with Sav by her side.
Will Holly J. and Jenna resort to blows over Sav? Will Sav and Holly J. survive after Holly J. reveals that she slept with Declan? Will Sav and Jenna end up together and raise Jenna’s baby? Will Jenna and K.C. get back together? We will have to wait to see next week’s episode to find out.
Adam and Fiona
This week’s episode also featured another new couple, Adam and Fiona. Adam and Fiona are not together yet but Adam decided, after receiving encouragement from his brother, Drew, during last week’s episode, to pursue Fiona.
This week Fiona expressed to Adam her complaints about the school dance with a dress code. Fiona told Adam that if she was in New York that she would be attending the “East Village Artist Ball.”
Adam decided that if Fiona could not go to the ball, that he would bring the ball to Fiona. He got the idea after Claire and Eli showed him a demolished church in the woods that the two found during one of their “urban adventures.” Adam suggested that he, Claire and Eli throw an anti-establishment dance for their classmates. Adam said that he wanted to impress Fiona and throw a fun party for his classmates after the lame school sanctioned dance that the power squad threw during this week’s episode.
Next week’s episode will feature Adam’s anti-establishment dance. We have to wait until then to see if Adam makes his move on Fiona and if Fiona discovers the truth about Adam and learns that he is transgender. We hope that Adam and Fiona end up together but we are a little skeptical of this relationship since it is starting off with Adam hiding a big secret.
Anya and Wes- wet d

This week’s episode was all about new, unexpected, relationships. This week Wes finally worked up the courage to ask out his long time crush, Anya. Anya agreed to go on this date because she was obligated to go out with him since she won him at the power squad date auction.
Wes was clearly very excited about the possibility of going out with Anya. During his computer class Wes had a fantasy about Anya and ended up getting a little too excited about her. Wes ended up having a wet dream in class and had to leave class, with a binder in front of his pants, to clean up.
Wes talked to Dave and Connor about his wet dreams. He tells the guys that he does not want to embarrass himself with Anya and asks what he can do to prevent himself from having another “incident” but they are of little help. In Wes’ final scene he is shown searching the internet. He types in how to last longer and an herbal supplement comes up.
Let’s just say for the record, nothing good will come from this herbal supplement designed to make men “last longer.” Also for the record, Wes’ fantasy of Anya was one of the funniest scenes in Degrassi history (Watch Wes’ wet dream here).
We will have to wait until the fall season finale next week to see what happens between Wes and Anya. We are really routing for Wes but we doubt that he won’t make a fool of himself on this date. Something is bound to go wrong.
This week’s episode of Degrassi focused on the start of new relationships. We are excited to see how the relationships between Wes and Anya, Adam and Fiona, and Sav and Jenna play out. We will have to tune into the season finale next week to see where these couples stand after the dust clears. We can’t wait for the Degrassi season finale this week.
