Brothers and Sisters: Scotty cheats on Kevin; Sarah and Luc Engaged; Justin and Kitty Move On

Well, the Walker family had a lot of relationship issues last night. Justin and Rebecca are divorced and Justin was featured moving on during this week’s episode. Kitty decided to give new man Jack a chance. Luc and Sarah got engaged! And in the biggest surprise of the night, Scotty revealed to Kevin that he cheated on him.
Read our recap below to see where the Walkers stand in their relationships.

Scotty cheated on Kevin:

Earlier in the episode Scotty tried and failed to convince Sarah that Luc was not stepping out on her. He reminded Sarah that sometimes everything is not what it seems. The moment was a huge foreshadowing moment for Scotty.
Later in the episode Kevin overcame his fears about trying again for a baby and talked to Scotty about adoption and foster care. Kevin opened up to Scotty and told him he realized that they were going to be great parents. Kevin’s honesty and openness caused Scotty to do the same and he revealed to Kevin that he had been unfaithful.

Our jaws dropped when Scotty revealed his secret last night. Scotty and Kevin are the one couple on the show we were always routing for. Scotty has always been so level headed and loving to Kevin, even when Kevin did not deserve it. We honestly believed that Scotty could do no wrong. That’s what is great about this show though, Brothers and Sisters has an amazing ability to remind us that everyone has their secrets. The show continues to teach us that no one is perfect and to expect the unexpected.

Watch Scotty tell Kevin that he cheated here:
We have to say, this is not just shocking to us it is unbelievable. We never thought that Scotty, who we always thought of as the perfect husband, would ever put his relationship with Kevin in jeopardy.

We are almost afraid to see what happens next with Kevin and Scotty. They are our favorite couple on the show and we don’t want to lose them. We hope that Kevin can move on and get over it but we also know that moving on is not in Kevin’s nature.

We will have to tune in next week to see if Kevin and Scotty can survive. We hope so, but we have to say we are not sure if they can.
What are your thoughts about Scotty’s big secret. Do you think that Kevin and Scotty will survive infidelity? Comment below.

Sarah and Luc get engaged:

When Gilles Marini joined the Brothers and Sister’s cast last year we thought his romance with Sarah would be a brief fling. We were wrong. Gilles is here to stay as Sarah’s incredibly attractive, emotionally in tuned, underwear modeling boyfriend, Luc.
The couple experienced little bit of a rut this week. Sarah was concerned that there was so much distance between herself and Luc since he took on the underwear modeling campaign. When she discussed the rut with Scotty he mentioned that he was sure that Luc would never stepped out on her.

Sarah did not listen to Scotty and became convinced that Luc was cheating. This led to a big confrontation where Sarah embarrassed herself and Luc when she falsely accused him of cheating during a client meeting.

When Luc returned home Sarah reminded him that his passion was painting and that this modeling was a distraction. Luc agreed but added that his other passion was her.
Luc
proved that his relationship with Sarah was not just a fling when he pulled out an engagement ring and proposed to Sarah. He told her that she was right, he had let the modeling distract him, and he wanted to recommit to his painting and to her.
It was a very unexpected but sweet moment. See Luc propose to Sarah here:
We will have to tune in next week to get more wedding details and see how Sarah, who has a tendency to self-destruct, reacts to her engagement.
Will Sarah and Luc make it down the aisle or will Sarah self destruct? What are your predictions for the couple. Share them in the comments below.

Justin and Rebecca Post-Divorce:

Now that Justin and Rebecca are divorced and Rebecca has moved on, Justin has been forced to move on as well. This week Justin had issues confronting Rebecca’s departure. Eventually Jack, Kitty’s new man, convinced him that it was time to “jump in” to a life without Rebecca and move on.

Justin took the first step by returning to the milkshake stand that he and Rebecca frequented. There he met a new girl and agreed to go out with her to see a band perform.

While we understand that Justin needs to get over Rebecca, especially since Rebecca will not be returning to Brothers and Sisters (Emily VanCamp confirmed awhile ago that she will not be returning to the show.),  we thought it was a little too soon for him to be meeting someone else. Rebecca and Justin just got divorced, he was just in her bed last week and Rebecca just announced during last week’s episode that she was going to New York. We thought it was a little too soon to feature Justin dating a new woman. We were also disturbed that Justin kept classifying his current situation as a break up rather than a divorce. It seemed a little too casual for our taste.

We will have to wait and see next week if anything comes of the milkshake girl but we hope that Justin takes time to reflect on what went wrong in his relationship with Rebecca before jumping into another one.

What do you think? Is it too soon for Justin to move on? Do you miss Justin and Rebecca’s relationship? Do you like “the milkshake girl”? comment below?

Kitty and Jack

Kitty was continued to struggle with Robert’s untimely death during this week’s episode. Kitty met a new man, Jack, a couple of episodes ago. Jack is an outdoorsy, rugged man type who disdains the modern world and all of its vices. Kitty is the complete opposite.

This week Kitty and Jack got a lot closer. Kitty began to feel guilty for moving on so soon after Robert’s death and started to wonder if she and Jack could work. A one point, Kitty ran out on Jack after telling him it would never work.

In one of the most romantic scenes of the night Jack hunted her down at the Walker “compound” and convinced her that they were more alike than different. Jack convinced Kitty to give him a chance.

We have to say we love this new Jack and Kitty relationship. Yes we realize we are being hypocritical saying that it is ok for Kitty to move on but not for Justin but we don’t care. Plus the Justin and Rebecca situation is a lot different from Kitty and Jack. One, Robert’s dead and Rebecca is still alive. Two, Justin just slept with Rebecca last week, Robert was brain dead for over a year and the couple’s relationship has been over for awhile. Three, we like Jack and we while we don’t dislike “the milkshake girl,” we don’t really like her yet.

We think Jack will be really good for Kitty. He can help Kitty move forward past the grief. We can’t wait to see what is in store for Jack and Kitty in the future. We also can’t wait to witness Jack’s first family dinner, that should be a classic moment. Will Jack be able to handle the Walker clan? We will just have to wait and see.

Do you love Jack as much as we do or do you think that Kitty moved on too soon? Comment below to share your thoughts on Kitty’s new man.

Brothers and Sisters tackled a lot this week. Every member of the Walker clan had major relationship issues to confront during this episode. We will absolutely be tuning in in next week to see the Walkers continue to work through their issues. We will also tune in to see how the rest of the family reacts to Scotty’s infidelity revelation and to see if he and Kevin have a shot of working it out. This week’s episode was unbelievable but we have a feeling that next week’s episode will also be memorable. Can’t wait to watch.
