Thursday: Play, Pass and Trash
After reviewing our television schedule for Thursday night, looking over our notes and having a brief glance into our TV Guide (which took longer than expected since we read the feature story on House and Cuddy, got distracted and then furiously searched the internet for more information on the new couple) we came up with our list of shows to play tonight, which shows we will be passing on and the trash reality we can’t wait to watch.
Play:
Big Bang Theory: Last week Sheldon tried to live forever and we were dying with his robot plot. Remember the scene in the car with Shel-bot where he played the recorder for Leonard? Classic. This week Amy, played by Blossom’s Mayim Bialik, and Sheldon start look for alternatives to human companionship. This should be good.
Bones: A couple of spoilers (which are not spoilers at all for anyone whose watch the series) for this week’s episode. Booth and Bones will not get together, they will not get married and they will not kiss in this episode. Both has a new girlfriend. However, the show will try to capture some of the Jersey Shore‘s fan base by solving a mystery at the shore. Antonio Sabato Jr. guest stars. We’ll bite.
Community: We will have to watch this episode online due to time conflicts but Betty White will return to Community this week. We wonder if every tv show desperate for ratings will feature a guest spot by Betty White this season. We kind of hope so, wouldn’t it be fun to watch Betty White on everything?
30 Rock: This episode will feature Tracy Morgan as the face of NBC’s diversity campaign. It will be epic. You would have to pay us a lot of money to miss it.
Grey’s Anatomy: Christina Yang seemed to be adjusting well after her wedding. Then a tray fell in the OR and sent her back into post-traumatic stress mode. Meredith came to her rescue and this week the teasers show Derek doing the same. In addition, Amelia from Private Practice, a.k.a. Derek’s little sister and family black sheep will visit.
The Office: Last week Michael let his guard down and almost let Toby in. This week we are not sure what will happen on The Office but since Steve Carrell will be leaving the show after this season we cannot miss any of the episodes up until his departure.
The Mentalist: We find out what happened to Kristina Frye, i.e. we answer the question is she dead and we get one step closer to answering the question who is Red John. Brothers and Sisters Eric Winters joins the cast as well.
The Apprentice: This year Donald went from Celebrity Apprentice back to real apprentice. The show features real Americans that got laid off. The show has not lost the drama. We’ll tune in this week.
Pass:
My Generation: ABC has yet to fill the spot after it announced that it was canceling My Generation. We won’t watch and give the network a reason to change it’s mind. By the way, the Steven has a son that he never met despite the invention of facebook and twitter plot was never realistic anyways.
The Vampire Diaries: Everyone seems to think adding werewolves to a vampire storyline will make viewers flock to the show. We think the writers of Vampire Diaries were hoping that all the Twilight fans would flock to their show because of the werewolf and vampire plot. They were totally right. We can’t pretend like we wouldn’t watch the show if Bones and Big Bang Theory did not conflict during that timeslot. We will watch the full episode online at the CW’s website tomorrow. Damn you werewolves and vampires, you all suck us in every time.
$#*! My Dad Says: It still has nothing on the s**t my dad says twitter feed and William Shatner is still not convincing in this roll. Pass.
Fringe: Conflicted out by The Office and Grey’s. It’s too bad, we wanted to see how the Walter head of Massive Dynamic plot played out this week. We will watch this week’s episode of Fringe online at hulu.com this weekend.
Outsourced: The comedy about the American company outsourced to India was not that funny last week. The Indian bobble head joke was mildly offensive. We will pass this week.
Nikita: Is it better or worse than the La Feem Nikita tv series it is based on? We can’t say for sure. But we do know it is conflicted out by The Office and Grey’s. Too bad, we love watching the girls of this show kick butt. It will be a must watch online this week for us.
Private Practice: We have yet to start caring about the Addison is dating Sam plot. We will pass this week.
Trash:
Jersey Shore: Angelina left the Jersey Shore house last week and this week the guys try to get rid of her bad karma. We’ll fist pump to that. Poor Vinny, we can’t believe he has to live with knowing he slept with her.
Real Housewives of DC: The Salahi’s sneak into the White House. The show will probably still be boring but we will have to watch to make sure we are a part of the water cooler conversations.
