Family Guy: Crossing the Line As Always

We tried to write about this week’s Family Guy last night, we really did. We just cannot bring ourselves to relive the horror of the first 10-15 minutes.

Up until last night there was 149 episodes where Family Guy pushed the boundaries.  Every Sunday night millions tune into the show and there is a collective gasp of shock heard all across the country. We cannot remember one of the 149 episodes prior to last night that we did not say “I cannot believe they did that.” Every Sunday we can count on Family Guy to drive someone to change their twitter and facebook statuses in horror. Last night the 150th episode was no different than the last 149. Wait, we lie. Last night the 150th episode went further and pushed more lines in the first 10 minutes than any of the prior 149 episodes.

By the time we got to our TiVo, our entire Facebook news alert page was filled with updates about Family Guy. We thought we were prepared and that everyone was overreacting. We have built a tolerance over the years. We did not even flinch when Family Guy took a shot at Sarah Palin’s son with Down Syndrome. While everyone else was complaining and we said, “it’s Family Guy, they’ve done worse.” But nothing could have prepared us for what we say. We are not saying what happened last night shocked us or appalled us, we just rather not write about it because…well just watch the episode and find out.
Instead here is a clip of Shipoopi from last night’s episode for your entertainment:
