Premise: Lost meets Quantum Leap
ABC is wasting no time trying to find the next Lost, to replace Lost when the series ends. We hate to say it but they may have just succeeded with their new show Flash Forward. Flash Forward is a show about a worldwide blackout where everyone has a flash of the future. While we normally do not like Sci-Fi flicks, flash forward is compelling and interesting. We loved watching every single moment of this show, we are already on the edge of our seats.
Things we did not like though:
Slow motion running
Long Stares
Suspenseful Music
It was very much like Lost, a lot of questions and not enough answers. Some of our questions:
Who was that guy who was walking when the entire world blacked out?
Why didn’t Demetri Noh, played by John Cho, have a flash?
Who actually hooks up with their boyfriend in the living room on a babysitting job when more discrete places are available? Why didn’t the daughter say something when the babysitter walked in her room with no shirt on? Is that a normal occurrence?
The creepiest line of the night came from the main character’s, Mark Benford, daughter who said in her flash there were “no more happy days.” Wow…way to share.
We don’t know why were are including this clip other than a Kangaroo is in it:
